Why Code Enforcement Matters
Has the city been too focused on new development rather than looking after the needs of the people already living here?
Council Report
The only business item at this June 7 meeting was passing a resolution to recognize Amateur Radio Week.
Selling off our future for short-term gain
Toquerville holds 363-acre feet of culinary water rights—the second lowest volume behind Ivins. The remaining water Toquerville requires is wholesaled to the city and those water resources are at risk.
start Paying attention
Our city government needs participation and involvement from those of us who live here. While the town of Toquerville was founded in 1858, the government of Toquerville is young. It was only incorporated in 2000.
Demystified: Short term Rentals
The city may limit short term rental permits to 5% of existing water hookups. That number is currently 721 or about 35-40 permits. Beyond that, prospective short term rental properties would be placed on a waiting list.
council report

Council Report
I did not think a team of wild horses could ever drag me back to another city council meeting.
Say Goodbye
Driving south from I-15, just past the cemetery, you’ll see Toquerville’s most beautiful view.
To Develop or Not to Develop
That is the question. Or it often seems to be the question, especially because Toquerville attracts residents who don’t want the congestion of St. George.
