43 Minutes of Council Meeting Bliss
By Brian McNary
Any time you can get out of a city council meeting in under 45 minutes- it is a good day. My wife offered up a tin of cookies to the council before the meeting started. It was a subtle bribe but I think it may have helped.
I’ve been on a good roll since the first week of November- so this was my last assigned meeting for a while.
Pretty straight forward stuff, very little discussion, and no filibusters in this Dec 18 meeting.
Audit Report
There were two presentations. Keddington and Christensen presented the audit report. The report for the fiscal year was good.
The bypass and the mysterious wet spot
Darrin LeFevre spoke about the parkway and costs associated with moving power poles, adjusting concrete vaults, and closing ditches for various utilities. They have taken a sample of the wet spot on the cut and sent it in to be analyzed. There is a lot of talk about the spot and some speculation that it is a leaking septic tank. So, we shall soon find out.
